Governed web search

Timberline can now search the public web when an administrator enables it, with identifying details removed from queries first.

Some questions need current public information, such as a newly published guideline or a payer announcement. Timberline can now search the public web, under controls designed for regulated environments.

  • Off by default. Web search is a single workspace-level setting, and only administrators with a specific permission can turn it on, after a confirmation step.
  • Identifiers stay inside. Identifying details are removed from a search query before it leaves your Timberline environment.
  • Audited and fail-safe. Every change to the setting is recorded, and if the setting can’t be read, search stays off.
  • Clearly labeled. An indicator shows when web search is available, and web sources are marked as such in citations.
  1. Invitation-only access and an Access panel for administrators

Accounts now require an invitation, and administrators can manage members and invitations without any access to conversations.

  2. Security hardening across the platform

Per-tenant model isolation, short-lived credentials, cleaner logs, and automatic security patching strengthen how Timberline runs.

  3. Password sign-in with multi-factor authentication

Teams without single sign-on can now use password sign-in protected by authenticator-app MFA, account lockout, and breached-password checks.
